Aseptic Service/Clinical Pharmacist with on Call
Job description
In order to meet the overall mission of the Trust the post holder will: Work as an Aseptic Services Pharmacist providing a full range of aseptic dispensing services to wards and departments within SE trust. Work as a Clinical Pharmacist providing a clinical pharmacy service to oncology/ haematology inpatients and outpatients and to patients requiring Total Parenteral Nutrition within the trust. Ensure the safe, effective and economic use of medicines. .
Responsibilities
- Complete the Foundation Programme within 12 - 18 months of appointment to allow progression to a band 7.
- Undertake the NHS Technical Specialist Education and Training group (NHS TSET), Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines (APDM) course.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years post registration experience of which 18 months (by 1st August 2024) must be as a band 6 hospital pharmacist.
- MPharm or equivalent
Desirable Skills
- Practising Pharmacist Independent Prescriber. Successful candidates will be required to undertake and complete this qualification within 24 months of appointment if they dont already have it.
