Specialist Occupational Therapist
Job description
The Occupational Therapist will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team within the RBHSC. The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of clients within children’s service, using evidence-based and client centred practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate Occupational Therapy interventions. They will have the skills and expertise to ensure that they establish a pro-active, integrated and client centred service..
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the specialist assessment and treatment of children referred to the Paediatric Occupational Therapy service.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists or a Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists
- A minimum of six months experience working with children and young people and or working in an acute or rehabilitation setting
Desirable Skills
- Additional postgraduate training relevant to paediatrics
- Experience in the use of IT systems
