Family Practitioner Services (FPS) provides a range essential business services to Health and Social Care organisations, Primary care contractors & patients. We provide a wide range of services to support health professionals in Northern Ireland and play a critical role in the payment of health professionals in the dental, pharmacy, GP and ophthalmic sectors..
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day to day responsibility of the processing and approval of payments for Family Practitioner claims made under statutory provisions.
- Assume day to day responsibility for the administration and operation of the appropriate Family Practitioner payment systems and the associated payment databases.
- Oversee the workflow of other colleagues, giving appropriate advice, guidance and direction to ensure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1a) GCSE Maths and GCSE English language (Grade A-C) OR equivalent to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR higher qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy AND
- 2 A-Levels OR equivalent qualification OR higher qualification; AND have worked for at least 18 months in a general administrative, or project support role. OR Have worked for at least 3 years in a general administrative or project support role.
- AND At least 6 months experience in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
Desirable Skills
- A knowledge of the Family Practitioner Payment System.
