RQIA_Senior Estates Inspector


Job description

The post holder will lead on complex inspections which may involve a large multi-disciplinary team and will carry a caseload of inspections for which they have lead responsibility..

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Management Team in developing a strategic plan to inform the core operational functions of RQIA.
  • Advise the Assistant Directors on trends in and across services with a view to improving the performance and service delivery of RQIA.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sound governance structures within the assigned area of work. These structures will ensure consistency, transparency and openness in the exercise of RQIA's functions.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A Registered Architect or Member of one of the following bodies; The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors; The Chartered Institute of Building; One of the Institutions of Civil, Mechanical Electrical; Electronic and Radio Engineers;
  • The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers; The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estates Managers
  • A minimum of three years post qualifying experience in either setting or maintaining standards.
  • A minimum of three years, having worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization, to achieve successful objectives.
  • Experience in the processes involved with the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children in health and social care.
  • Must be able to demonstrate evidence of leading or involvement in a quality improvement aspect of service delivery.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) applications within a working environment.
  • Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a vehicle on appointment.These criteria will be waived in cases of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport SEE JD

Desirable Skills

  • A track record of working effectively with senior teams in larger organisations.
  • Awareness of Legislation and Standards relating to the review, investigation and inspection of statutory and independent health and social care services.
  • Experience of evaluating and improving the provision of health and social care.
