Business Development Manager
Job description
Randox requires a Business Development Manager to help lead a new team that will be focusing on selling the Randox Vivalytic instrument internationally and the ever-growing test menu on this machine. This will include direct sales with end users, to upsell the new list of available tests to existing customers and selling to brand new customers. While it will also involve the exciting task of managing and sourcing new distributors who can sell the Vivalytic in their specific territories. The successful candidate will be required to travel globally on a regular basis to key trade shows as well as visits to specific markets to meet with end users and distributors.
Responsibilities
- Development of business interests in line with targets tied to the corporate growth plan.
- The individual will be focusing on developing business with all of the existing customers that have the Vivalytic.
- Effectively managing distributors and push for sales growth.
- Managing key relations with our current customers.
- Conducting market customer visits to increases sales.
- Building up in-depth knowledge of Randox and competitor products.
- Identifying new market opportunities and increasing sales.
- Handling customer queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Attending conferences and trade shows as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Qualified to degree level in a life science or business discipline.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- High degree of self-motivation; can work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- A proven track record in sales and customer relationship management.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities through expansion of existing products into new market segments.
- Be able to communicate in English both verbally and written.
Desirable Skills
- At least 2.1-degree classification.
- Previous industry experience.
- Proven track record in managing an international sales team, ideally in the Healthcare / IVD / Medical Diagnostics sector.
- Additional Language.
