Team Leader Home Treatment Crisis Response
Job description
The Home Treatment/Crisis Response Team Leaders will provide Leadership, supervision, support and day-to-day management of the Home Treatment/Crisis Response Team. The post holder will have clinical role within the service acting as a role model to other members of staff. The role will encompass facilitating the implementation of the service model, research, practice development, audit and supervision of junior staff. The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring appropriate induction and training for those employed in the team. The post holder will also be responsible for contributing to the development of performance management and service evaluation systems. This post includes responsibility for partnership working with the Trusts Mental Health Services colleagues as well as providing support to service users and carers. This will involve working collaboratively on a broad range of operational and service development issues. The post holder will promote effective multidisciplinary working and work in partnership with other agencies to deliver a comprehensive range of Home Treatment/Crisis Response services. Responsibilities
- Provide Leadership, supervision, support and day-to-day management of the Home Treatment/Crisis Response Team
- Manage the multidisciplinary team, monitoring the workload of the team ensuring that professional standards are maintained in all areas of practice
- Develop and manage staff rotas to include planning for annual leave and other absences and ensuring an adequate skill mix of staff are available to deliver the service effectively
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Nursing Part 1 (Mental Health) of the live NMC register
- Or Social Services professional Social Work qualification (CQSW, CSS or Diploma in Social Work) and be registered or have proof of having applied for registration with NISCC
- 5 years post qualification experience skills to include 2 years experience at Band 6 or above in Acute or Community Mental Health setting
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to form of transport approved
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement, governance and risk management issues
- Knowledge of the current developments, regionally and locally in mental health services
