Job description

Currently we are seeking to hire a Sales Assistant to join our team in Ballymena. As a Sales Assistant you will work at the till, maintain a clean store and well stocked shelves and supporting the Store Manager in daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with their inquiries, providing product information, and offering assistance with purchases
• Operating the cash register, processing transactions accurately, and handling payments
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the store, including stocking shelves and arranging displays
• Performing heavy lifting tasks, such as moving crates of stock or large items, to ensure adequate inventory levels and proper store organisation
• Adhering to store policies and procedures, including following safety protocols and maintaining a tidy and welcoming store environment

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Conversational English Language level is essential
• Proficiency in one of the Eastern European languages (Polish, Romanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Latvian, Croatian, etc)
• Full flexibility is required, including the availability to work on day shifts: 5 days a week from Monday to Sunday, which may include bank holidays

Desirable Skills

• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sales experience is preferred
• Willingness to learn, self-development, and a desire for success while contributing to a positive team environment and promoting our brand
• Ability to adapt, prioritise tasks, and handle unexpected situations
