Marketing and Communications Coordinator


Job description

ExportExplore is seeking an enthusiastic and driven entry-level Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team in Belfast. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the research and implementation of a new communications strategy aimed at enhancing our outreach efforts and engagement with stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Director, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with the team to execute against project plans and contribute to our mission of fostering international business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to promote ExportExplore's services and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and best practices in marketing and communications within the economic development sector.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology platforms and tools to optimise communication channels and increase efficiency.
  • Create engaging content for various platforms including website, social media, email newsletters and press releases.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, webinars and other outreach activities to engage clients and partners internationally.
  • Monitor and analyse metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in developing processes for building relationships with key stakeholders including businesses, government agencies and industry associations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and relevant news to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with communication and design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Ability to conduct research, analyse data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in international business, economic development or related fields is preferred.

Desirable Skills

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications or related roles is an advantage but not required for this entry-level position.

Further Information

The Employer is: EXPORTEXPLORE LIMITED Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16/17 £6.40, 18/20yrs £8.60, 21yrs or over £11.44 per hour
