Job description

Purpose and Function of Post: Responsible for the provision of a high quality, interior and exterior painting/decorating maintenance service as part of the overall function of the Environment & Property Services directorate in compliance with current legislation across the whole Mid-Ulster District Council area. Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of duties within defined timescales including finishing, wall papering, and general paintwork.
• Supervision and allocation of work to other employees ensuring performance and satisfactory completion of work.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants must possess a full, current driving licence (Minimum Category B) which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland and to drive a council vehicle provided for official business.
• Qualified Trades person with City and Guilds Advanced Craft Parts 1, 2 & 3/NVQ level 3 diploma in Decorative Finishing and Painting Operations or equivalent relevant qualifications.
• A current Construction Skills Register card.

Desirable Skills

• Category C1 plus E driving licence or equivalent.
