Receptionist/Administrator


Job description

We are looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to provide high quality and comprehensive secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the practice. Full time and part time roles considered.

Responsibilities

  • Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English AND NVQ Level 3 or above in Admin/Typing OR 2 years experience in a similar role

Further Information

Wage: £22,596 per annum (pro rata). Starting 20 days annual leave plus 12 bank holidays. NHS Pension - Employer 23.2 percent. Other incentives and bonuses. We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.
