Job description
As a Children’s Day-care Assistant at Bright Stars, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and early years education. Reporting to the Deputy Manager/Nursery Manager, your responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks. From organising engaging activities that foster creativity and development to participating in the key person system, you monitor, assess, and report on children's progress. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, you implement a plan/do/review system aligned with monthly themes. Collaboration with parents is crucial, recognising their role as primary educators, while flexibility within Bright Stars is expected. Your duties extend to child protection, confidentiality, and active involvement in professional development. From preparing nutritious meals to assisting with personal care, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting free flow systems, your role is multifaceted. Upholding exemplary practice, adhering to policies, and cooperating with health and safety standards are integral aspects. Your commitment also extends to undertaking additional duties as reasonably required, with consultation on any updates to your job description.

- Deliver quality care and activities in a secure and stimulating environment.
- Organize indoor and outdoor activities promoting creativity, development, and learning through play.
- Collaborate with parents, encouraging their involvement.
- Be flexible across all rooms, ensuring child protection and confidentiality.
- Participate in professional development and training.
- Perform ongoing cleaning and health/safety checks.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene duties.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required, with consultation on job description updates.

- Must be flexible to work between 7.30 - 18.00 Monday - Friday
