Retail Sales Assistant
Job description
The Employer is: FARIDA FA LTD. Is responsible for ensuring a customer’s in-store experience runs as smoothly as possible. Customers will often seek out a retail assistant as a first point of contact if they need to find a specific item or process a transaction quickly, so being up-to-date on stock and company processes is a must. Also process the sale of merchandise in the store or on-line and supervise the regular restocking of the store’s product shelves. Retail assistants also need to be as knowledgeable as possible on all the products and services their company offers, so customers aren’t left with any doubts regarding whether or not they are making the right purchasing decision.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking and arranging new shipments from suppliers and vendors.
- Arranging and labelling goods in the display shelves.
- Assisting customers in finding the products they are looking for.
- Processing customer payments at the checkout point/till.
- Addressing customer complaints and inquiries.
- Providing shopping advice and recommendations to customers.
- Cleaning and rearranging the store after hours.
- Performing periodic price audits to resolve price discrepancies.
- Collaborating with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organised at all times.
- Assisting the team in social media advertising such as creating, posting, running professional ads , etc... and other related tasks.
- Updating customer records in the companys database as required.
- Handling product returns and payment refund requests.
- Reporting any inventory or service issues to management and the appropriate Account Manager immediately.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Full understanding of their companys product catalogue.
- Elementary mental maths.
- Excellent personal presentation and a professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to resolve conflicts and deal with difficult customers.
- Customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using a point of sale system (POS) and inventory management software.
- Proficiency in Sales-force platform.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Knowledge in product promotions.
- Ability to conduct effective sales.
- Ability to work well with a team.

The Employer is: FARIDA FA LTD. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position.
