Senior Family and Systemic Psychotherapist
Job description
Working as part of a team the post holder will provide specialist systemic family therapy and systemically informed individual therapy as part of the Family Support Psychotherapy Team (FSPT) based at Cedar Villa, Gransha, which consists of both Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy and Systemic Family Psychotherapy. As well as providing direct clinical work the team members provide consultation to relevant WHSCT staff where children, young people and parents/carers are involved with Social Services for Family Support, Child Protection and Looked After Services.
Responsibilities
- To be a member of the wider therapeutic team currently within Rossneal, Family Therapy and Child Psychotherapy and to contribute to, participate in and adhere to the routines and policies of those services
- The post holder will deliver family therapy as an intervention for positive change, provide systemic consultation and direct intervention to children, young people and their parents/carers referred into the service via the Family Support panel
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Band 8a Criteria; Hold a degree level qualification in relevant mental health profession (e.g. Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology) and demonstrable practice over a minimum of four years
- Band 7 Criteria; Hold a degree level qualification in relevant mental health profession (e.g. Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology) and demonstrable practice over a minimum of four years
Desirable Skills
- An AFT recognised qualification in Systemic Supervision
