SPPG Commissioning Lead for Older People & Adult Services, Band 8B
Job description
The post holder will work within the Older People and Adult Services Team of the Community Care Directorate. They will be responsible for contributing to and supporting the development of services in a range of areas through the work of the SPPG including leading on specific regional and local projects. Responsibilities
- Develop and lead where required service reform and modernisation initiatives (both uni and multidisciplinary) including Regional Networks
- Contribute to the analysis of highly complex problems, including the development of solutions related to the modernisation of clinical and care practice across older people and adults
- Develop and support the implementation of agreed service improvement standards for the management of services to older people and adults
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working at a senior management level 1 in social work/social care within the statutory, voluntary or independent sector
- A professional qualification in Social Care recognised by the NISCC Hold full registration on the social work part of the register with the NISCC
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment This criterion will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport
