The Employer is: SAMUEL JOHNSTON BABY. You will play a key role in helping to develop one of the UK’s biggest online nursery retailers. This is an opportunity for the right individual to learn the fundamentals of E-Commerce, business development and marketing. This post will give a young person the opportunity to learn incredible skills. They will see how a proper web platform works and learn essential employ-ability skills that will take them far in their careers. As more and more businesses go online, E-commerce skills are always useful. Social media skills and the creation of marketing assets are also important, and the young person will learn these skills working with us..

Responsibilities

• Building products for our website (full training will be given on how to use our platform).
• Writing accurate, descriptive product copy.
• Contributing to social media.
• Contributing to the creation of other marketing assets such as emails and other creatives using Canva.
• Occasionally dealing with queries from members of the public on the phone and in-store.
• Developing customer service skills.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Maths and English GCSE, or Essential Skills (or equivalent).
• Computer literate.
• Willingness to learn.

Desirable Skills

• Marketing skills.
• Experience of using Canva.
• Interest in developing websites.
• Interest in business development.
• Experience of using computer packages such as word, outlook, Excel etc.

Further Information

The Employer is: SAMUEL JOHNSTON BABY. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
