Job description

We are currently seeking full-time and part-time Nursery Assistants. We offer child-focused care for children from 3 months to compulsory school age. We are based in a rural environment and are a family run day nursery. .

Responsibilities

• Providing a safe environment for children.
• Carry out observations on children.
• Dealing with queries from parents / carers and forwarding any issues to room leader / management as required.
• Ensuring all policies &procedures are followed and all relevant forms from and for parents/carers are collected and completed daily as necessary.
• Ensuring children are stimulated in a creative & positive environment using the equipment & resources at your disposal.
• Ensuring routines are followed on a daily basis, including assisting with children's daily routine, sensory play, outdoor play, arts & crafts, music & movement.
• Conducting general cleaning duties of the premises as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience working with children.
• Level 2/3 in CCLD or equivalent or willing to undertake the qualification

Desirable Skills

• Ideally you will have recent knowledge and practical experience of working with children in a voluntary or workplace capacity.
• Working towards or qualified in CACHE / QCF Level 2/3 in Children's Care Learning & Development.

Further Information

Work time - 8am-5.15pm.
