The employer is: NORTHERN CRICKET UNION. The NCU are looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant to complement the existing team. The successful candidate will support existing staff in various projects directed at maximising the company and the sports profile and develop associated strategies and marketing campaigns..

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of the company's marketing strategy.
• Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
• Provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and trends.
• Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, company database, website, PowerPoint presentations and Mailshots.
• Manage and generate content for various social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
• Deal with partners and sponsors in the development of various marketing initiatives.
• Create and update records for marketing activity via the various channels.
• Liaise with Cricket Ireland colleagues regarding matters of common interest.
• Assist colleagues whenever necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Educated to GCSE Level - Must have English and Maths as a minimum.
• A good team worker and ability to work independently, without supervision.
• Practical experience in marketing.
• Organised and methodical - able to multitask.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• An interest in sport.
• Knowledge of MS Office suite of programmes.
• Knowledge of various Social Media marketing platforms including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Desirable Skills

• A knowledge of cricket.
• Marketing Qualification.
• Working knowledge of marketing tools and e-commerce and social media advertising.
• Experience in developing marketing campaigns.
• Competence in graphic design.
• Competence in multimedia creation.

Further Information

The employer is: NORTHERN CRICKET UNION Salary: 16-17yrs £4.81, 18-20yrs £6.83, 21-22yrs £8.36, 23-24yrs £9.50. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
