Nursery Assistant
Job description
Support all staff and work together as part of a team; overall team participant throughout the whole nursery, and as a team member within the room you are specified to. To attend all out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings. To be flexible within the working practices of nursery by being prepared to give help where needed. This includes undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack and meals, cleaning equipment etc. To respect confidentiality of any information received. To uphold high standards of the nursery at all times. Be aware of the needs of the children as they are paramount. Liaise with parents to build up a healthy professional relationship when discussing daily activities their child has partaken in. Follow the Key Worker system, if your room follows this. Ensure observations are carried out regularly on all children and are kept up to date as and when you see changes happening. Ensuring that all children are supervised during activities and that their needs are met. Ensure children’s dietary requirements are being met. Ensure that all accidents, incidents etc. are daily recorded and that the appropriate action is taken and any paperwork is completed. Participate in team/room meetings. To assist with planning and evaluating. To ensure uniform remains smoke free The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. .

- NVQ Level 2 Childcare
