Communications & Community Development Support Officer


Job description

Work closely with the Community Development Staff to develop and implement a communications plan to best represent TADA’s ethos. Create engaging/informative content for a range of communication channels across all social media platforms such as, twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, You Tube and TADA company website. To promote TADA Rural Support Network and increase awareness of programmes and activities. .

Responsibilities

  • To assist the Community Development Staff with funded programmes, activities and projects
  • To update members on the latest funding and relevant news in a monthly newsletter, sent electronically
  • To work with all staff to meet the objectives of each project or programme

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Must have at least one year of experience or proven ability in working with media
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience or proven ability in working within the voluntary, community and social enterprise secto
  • Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to create positive and constructive relationships with team members, officers, elected members and with peers across and outside the organisation
  • Be adaptable in order to assist staff in any other department

Further Information

This post is funded through the Rank Foundation 'NI Start Here' Grant Progamme supporte by the Department for Communities (DfC). Appointment will be on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) for a fixed term from 1st August 2022 - 31st July 2025. Work time Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
