Job description

Assist the Lead Dietitian in the development and management of a quality Nutrition and Diet Therapy Service throughout the Trust and particularly within the above specialist area of dietetics. Liaise with relevant staff to promote good nutritional care for all patients. Act as a source of expertise for professional colleagues in these specialist areas of work and ensure the dissemination of up to date information on diet therapy to all relevant staff..

Responsibilities

• Calculate individual dietary regimens in accordance with dietetic assessment for both inpatients and outpatients
• Co-ordinate staff to ensure that patients on diet therapy receive suitable menus, and that the meals served are in accordance with their diet therapy needs

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• No less than two years post registration clinical dietetic experience.
• Degree or Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, or equivalent.
