Business Support Officer
Job description
The main purpose of the job is to provide business support within the Specialist Services Commissioning Team. The post holder will have an integral role in working with the Assistant Director and Senior Managers in ensuring the effective planning and commissioning of services in line with planned investments. The post holder will work closely with Commissioning Senior Managers, the HSC Board, Public Health Agency, local Trusts, Departmental colleagues and other key partners in the locality in the course of their duties. The Business Support Officer will have the lead role in the co-ordination and oversight of all business processes working closely and iteratively with the Assistant Director and Senior Managers on the team as well as interfacing with other senior colleagues, within and outside the organisation, as required to deliver the business programme for specialist commissioning. .
Responsibilities
- To project manage a range of activities and input to key project management tasks as directed by Senior Managers
- To work collaboratively, in particular, with other SPPG Directorates and the Public Health Agency to achieve common goals.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Access and Excel to allow for the analysis of data.
- Effective organisational skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
