Patient Services Manager


Job description

The person appointed will be responsible to lead, manage, co-ordinate, develop and deliver the patient services sections of the pharmacy department. This encompasses two pharmacy departments one focused on dispensing for outpatients, one for inpatients and the trust pharmacy extended hours service which is based in the RVH inpatient pharmacy. He/ she will be required to work with patients and a range of other stakeholders to provide a safe, effective and economic service, in accordance with current standards and Trust values. Responsibilities

  • Manage, review and develop pharmacy patient services in accordance with all relevant legislation and current standards such as the Medicines Management Controls Assurance Standards.
  • Ensure that robust policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place to deliver a safe, effective, efficient, equitable, economic and quality service.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Have a Minimum of TWO years hospital experience as an 8A or above.
  • Proven management experience
