Job description

This is a part-time position based within the constituency office of the MLA. It is a fixed-term contract until the 31st May 2022. However there is a possibility of an extension. Due to the nature of the role the working time may include late evenings. Closing date 23rd July 2022 by 5pm. The Role The social media officer is responsible to manage the MLAs social media accounts and create an engaging social media content for local constituents and ensure MLA work is communicated on various platforms. .

Responsibilities

• Respond to comments, compile content, and drive social media campaigns
• Monitor and control MLAs social media
• Produce video content

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree or equivalent qualification and 6 months experience producing media content OR at least one years experience in social media, PR or a producing background
• Excellent knowledge of the political landscape & issues impacting the MLAs Constituency area
• Ability to produce social media content
• Ability to create social media content

Desirable Skills

• At least 1 years experience managing a social media project or account, under time pressure.
• A working knowledge of Gaeilge
