Job description

The postholder will be responsible for the day to day operation of the site in all weather conditions and will maximise the recycling potential of the centre by encouraging and assisting recycling centre users to segregate and deposit waste into designated recycling containers in a controlled manner..

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants must possess a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience. Please demonstrate.
• Experience must include dealing with members of the public. Please demonstrate.
• Experience must include general labouring and/or cleaning experience. Please demonstrate.
• Experience must include record keeping. Please demonstrate.
• Experience must include operating a range of hand powered tools and equipment e.g. compactors blowers power washers. Please demonstrate.
• Essential knowledge and application of Health and Safety at Work. Please demonstrate.

Desirable Skills

• It is desirable that applicants must possess one of the following. Experience working in a waste management environment. Or Computer and keyboard experience in recording of information. Please demonstrate.
• Applicants must have access to a form of transport to carry out the duties of the post.

Further Information
