Communications Officer


Job description

As Communications Officer, you will support the Senior Communications Officer to deliver the Company's Communications Strategy. Working with a range of stakeholders to co-ordinate, create and publish high quality content across multiple channels for both internal and external audiences..

Responsibilities

  • PR and external media relations - handle media enquiries and create effective press releases to gain positive media coverage to promote and protect the reputation of the Company.
  • Communications - Implement the Company's Communications Strategy and associated work plans.
  • Digital Communications - manage the Company's online channels of communication (including websites and social media) including the timely drafting of high-quality content and the production of attractive graphics, images and videos.
  • Internal Communications - assist with the management of internal staff communication, in particular the creation and distribution of the Company's monthly staff e-zine.
  • Marketing - co-ordinate marketing, advertising and promotional activities and demonstrate their impact.
  • Events Management - assist in organising and managing corporate events and advise on event planning to ensure communication of key messages and appropriate brand values.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • As Communications Officer, you will have a third level qualification in a Communications or Marketing related subject and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar communications and marketing role
  • Postgraduate qualification in marketing or communications / or a relevant professional membership e.g. CIM or CIPR would be desirable.
