Job description

We are seeking Machine Setters/ Production Operatives for our client based in Lurgan.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily production activities on PVC / PE plastic extrusion lines
• Ensure all lines are running within specified quality and production guidelines at the beginning and throughout your shift
• Assist with changeovers, die changes, start-ups, shut downs and unscheduled interventions
• Complete all required documentation, extrusion line settings, downtime tracking, quality checks and events logs
• Help other operators when needed
• Make all required samples are available for Q/C inspection as per sample schedule
• Maintain maximum efficient use of raw materials through control of the extrusion line settings
• Maintain housekeeping of your lines and workstation

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in a production environment
• Must have proven skills in extrusion operation or experience of a similar operation which had a mechanical aspect, with the ability to learn this trade
• Experience using a variety of measuring equipment
• Experience with computerised control systems
• Experience with process controls and fault finding techniques
• Self-motivated and high energy
• Willingness to learn and to be a committed team player
• Awareness of risk and hazards with excellent sense of safety and working
