Lead Officer in Recruitment
Job description
The post holder will, as an integral member of the Human Resources team, provide a comprehensive professional, high-quality, customer-focused Human Resource service to Council departments. In particular, the post holder will lead on the delivery of a professional Recruitment Service, providing specialist advice, knowledge and guidance across a range of issues and will support the development and implementation of policies and procedures. .
Responsibilities
- Lead on the delivery of a professional Recruitment Service, providing specialist advice, knowledge and guidance in relation to recruitment issues.
- Co-ordinate all activities within the Recruitment Section of the Department and provide support to and coach/mentor HR staff in relation to recruitment matters.
- Co-ordinate the provision of support to managers undertaking all aspects of Recruitment, to include the provision of written records and compliance with relevant legislation linked to the LGSC Code of Procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- CIPD Level 5 qualification
- Minimum of two years experience to include supporting the Recruitment function
- Minimum of two years experience to include assisting with development and implementation of Recruitment policies and procedures
- Minimum of two years experience to include liaising with unions and/or undertaking successful trade union negotiations
- Minimum of two years experience to include advising line managers on Recruitment matters
- Minimum of two years experience to include working in partnership with management and trade unions to achieve results
- Access to a form of transport in order to meet the requirements of the post
