Team Lead Community Inreach Service

Job description

The Team Leader will be responsible for the leadership, day-to-day management, and general administration of a specialist Domiciliary Care Agency for children with Learning Disability and challenging behaviours. This will include the need to ensure that proper standards of care and assessment for the young people supported and ensuring that care is person centred, and evidence based and outcome focussed..


  • Provide effective professional leadership and smooth running of the agency in respect of children, staff and the provision of appropriate support and care in the community to each.
  • Provide effective discharge of any required Statutory Functions and minimum standards in respect of the children in their homes in the context of the Trust Assurance Framework.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Must have a recognised Professional Qualification in Social Work, Nursing or AHP and be registered with NISCC or the relevant section of NMC REGISTER or HCPC.
  • Must have a minimum of three years post qualifying experience with at minimum two years experience in a childrens support service or residential childcare/hospital environment.
  • A minimum two years' experience working with young people with challenging behaviour.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of supervisory management within Health & Social Services.
  • Have two years experience in working with children with a learning disability and behaviour of challenge or children with emotional difficulties.
