Business Support and Clinical Audit Manager


Job description

The post holder is responsible for assisting the Senior Managers and Co Director with the development, operation and monitoring of the ACCTSS service including the provision of regular reporting tools to inform management of ongoing issues and service pressures within the Division. This post shall include responsibility for liaising with Service Managers, Finance, Information staff and the Commissioner (SPPG) in relation to service planning and performance management processes. The post holder will support the management of complaints and adverse incidents within the Division. The post holder will also be responsible for the provision of business cases in relation to the capital allocation for the division each year. The post holder will also have the overall responsibility to ensure the accurate and timely submission of Critical Care Data for the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Audit and will be responsible for the collation and presentation of this information to senior teams. The post holder will work with medical and nursing teams on the validation and accuracy of this clinical data and will be responsible for the overall training and management of the ICNARC team. .

Responsibilities

  • To contribute to establishing processes which will support performance monitoring and performance improvement work associated with service planning and ongoing pressures
  • To participate in and contribute to the development of policies, guidelines and processes commensurate with Organisational Strategies and Objectives related to service planning, performance management and monitoring of service pressures

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • University Degree or a recognised professional qualification or equivalent AND 2 years experience in a middle management role or equivalent. OR 3 years experience in a middle management role or equivalent
  • AND At least one years experience within a performance planning and monitoring role AND At least one years experience working with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders with demonstrable relationship and influencing skills

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge and experience of patient / client information systems
