Job description

Learn a trade. This role will cover all aspects of being a Retail Butcher, without having to go to college. Great opportunities to progress to Supervisor/Managerial roles. You will serve customers with meat products from the butchery counter providing first class customer service at all times, help to prepare product for the counter (knife skills will be taught), maintain the retail prepack shelves and be fully involved in the day-to-day tasks of running a butchery counter. You will be required to actively engage with customers by sampling product and distributing leaflets in store. .

Responsibilities

• To provide excellent customer service to our customers.
• Help stock the butchery counter & prepare product for sale.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas.
• Maintain the retail prepack shelves.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Flexible in work.
• Working as part of that team.
• Involves some heavy lifting.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a similar food and customer facing role.

Further Information

Location is Butchery Counter based in Tesco, Newtownbreda. Work time is 35 plus hours per week, covering working week Monday to Sunday - opening hours 7.30am to early evening, dependent on day.
