Receptionist / Administrator
Job description
Responsibility for reception & administration within the Medical Practice. .
Responsibilities
- Maintain a tidy reception desk and public areas
- Organising, filing and maintaining patient records.
- Diary management.
- Coordinate patient appointments, hospital letters etc with staff members to ensure procedures are effective.
- Liaising with various agencies where required to provide repeat prescriptions when authorised.
- Update patient's computer records as directed.
- Greeting patients in person and on telephone.
- Making and cancelling appointments.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role with excellent communication & organisational skills
- 5 GCSEs grade A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Evidence of working in a team & on own initiative
- Flexibility to cover sickness & holidays
- Fully computer literate.
Desirable Skills
- Working within a GP surgery advantageous however full training will be given
Further Information
Temporary with the view to becoming permanent. Work time: 16 hours per week, Thursday & Friday, 9.30am - 6pm.
