Are you interested in a career in the aviation sector? We are looking for a Security Officer, to join our team at Belfast International Airport. This role is open to applicants who have no previous security experience and a genuine interest in aviation, customer service and security. All necessary training will be fully paid and provided by our sector experts including support in obtaining relevant background checks. There is on-site mentoring and clear career pathways leading to specialist management roles within our team, so think big! We provide full training for our Security Officers, both in the classroom and on the job, including courses in disability awareness, to allow for educational and personal development. You will also be using equipment and manual search techniques, to ensure that no prohibited articles are taken into the airport, carrying out regular patrols and control access to the aerodrome, and checking identification or travel documents for all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access..

Responsibilities

• People Search.
• XRay screening and bag searching.
• Access Control.
• Customer Service.
• Read and adhere to security notices.
• Emergency response (such as aircraft emergencies).
• To Carry out patrols of the airside / landside areas.
• Aircraft guarding.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Effective communication & active listening.

• Teamwork.

Desirable Skills

• Full UK Drivers License.
• Previous security exposure (not mandatory).
