IT Administrator
Job description
The main objective of the post is to provide and manage ICT support for approximately 170 users and, the IT Infrastructure/Architecture across a multi-site environment. The role will also require the post holder to provide technical and administrative support to the IT Project Support Office and IT management, within Waterways Ireland. .
Responsibilities
- Installation, administration, maintenance, configuration and diagnostic management of multiple virtual and physical servers, ILOs, iDRAC's, PCs and printers
- Administration and security of MPLS WAN, Checkpoint VPN and LAN networks and associated hardware.
- Configuration of, and troubleshooting for Line of Business Applications, as well as associated administration functions
- Research, and evaluate new ICT solutions, making appropriate proposals as required
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A minimum of 2 GCE A Levels A-C, and 5 GCSE's including English and Mathematics (Grades A-C), and Have at least three years relevant technical experience in a specific IT support role, within the past 10 years OR
- Min of 5 GCSE's including English and Maths (grades A-C), and Have at least five years relevant technical experience in a specific IT support role within the past 10 years, and Have evidence of relevant IT technical support related courses e.g ITIL
- AND All candidates must be proficient in use of the suite of Microsoft Office applications
- AND Hold a current valid driving licence and/or have access to a form of transport which will allow the jobholder to carry out the functions of this role across multiple sites
