Sales and Operations Administrator

Job description

The Sales & Operations Administrator will be focused on delivering the full remit of a sales and operations administration service in support of our key accounts reporting directly to the  Operations Director. With the influencing, commercial skills and responsiveness necessary to overcome any challenges or barriers, the role holder will be responsible for administering high quality bid tender processes and identifying new opportunities, along with provision of operations management support to ROI business..


  • Monitor prospective tender opportunities (via E-Portal), with responsibility for the completion of excellent tenders and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure that tender documentation aligns with legislative requirements, business capabilities and the management systems in place; highlighting any cost or other liability risks
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential customers via online meetings, telephone calls and emails, and provide admin support for key accounts through attendance at meetings where necessary
  • Service existing and potential accounts as a point of sales contact; providing timely, professional and accurate quotations and documentation in response to client needs
  • Support the Sales and Operations teams in all aspects of development of pricing, tariffs, statistics and analytics for existing and potential clients

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Highly IT literate with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word and Excel, with the ability to provide management reports and tender information
  • Must be proactive and able to work with minimum instruction
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality will be vital
  • Confidence to deal with staff at all levels
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Focused on solutions
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer focus skills and awareness
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English to a fluent level in order to liaise with customers

Desirable Skills

  • sales administration experience to include proactive tender preparation
