Job description

To provide the catering service within the Nursing Home efficiently and in accordance with current legislation and Company Policy and procedure..

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all current HACCP Regulations (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points. Adhere to First Aid, Hygiene, Health & Safety rules, COSHH, RIDDOR Regulation at all times.
  • Provide meals to meet the dietary requirements and request of residents.
  • Ensure food is prepared and cooked in accordance with current food hygiene regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure the standard of hygiene in the kitchen meets all Health & Safety Regulations and records are maintained to demonstrate this.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated, maintained and serviced.
  • Advise kitchen assistants on special diets, method of service and garnish.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, checking and storing deliveries.
  • Carry out other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working in a similar environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Food hygiene certification.
