Deputy Finance Manager
Job description
The Cedar Foundation have approx. 650 employees and delivers a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland. The Deputy Finance Manager, under the Finance Manager will assist in the day to day running of a busy Department. .
Responsibilities
- Ensuring correct monthly invoicing within expected deadlines
- Maintenance of up-to-date service user records on internal bespoke system
- Assist Finance Manager in development of bespoke system as appropriate
- Responsible for debtor Management
- Preparation of Debtor Report for Senior Management
- Preparation and collection of Direct Debits from Service Users
- Calculation of charges for Service Users
- Income reconciliation
- Oversight and management of processing of cash to services ie petty cash and PPPA funds
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- IATI qualified or part qualified accountant
- At least 3 years experience in a finance function within a large diverse organisation with multiple income streams and cost centres
- Experience in managing income and debtor control systems
- Experience in basic cash flow management and control
- Knowledge and experience of internal control systems
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and analysis work
- High degree of knowledge of operating a computerised accounting system, ideally SAGE Line 50
Further Information
Work time: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
