Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality .
Responsibilities
- Comply with Food safety instruction and record keeping
- Assist with good housekeeping and cleanliness of kitchen
- Offer assistance to others in the team to help them and ensure service is as efficient as possible
- Give our guests the best food experience possible according to the highest standards.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
- Managing and training any commis working with you
- Helping the head chef to develop new dishes and menus
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools and processes.
- Great time management skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
