Job description

Our support workers are central to ensuring that Praxis Care achieves our goal of providing quality care and support to our Service Users. Each of our Support Workers will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a high quality and reliable support service. Our Support Workers provide friendliness and encouragement towards our Service Users supporting independence and providing the environment for Service Users to achieve their desired outcomes. Responsibilities

  • To support and empower individuals to develop / improve independent living skills as identified in person centred plans. This may include providing support to manage domestic or social skills and personal care.
  • To work closely with Team Leaders and managers in preparing and implementing individual and group support programmes.
  • To work with other Support Workers and Team leaders to promote a safe working and living environment

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Oral and written communication skills; Organisational skills; Problem solving skills; Computer literate; Ability to use initiative; Understanding diversity
  • Full Drivers Licence
