Kitchen Attendant/Till Operator
Job description
To assist in the safe, hygienic and efficient operation of the hospitality facilities. To provide lecturers with practical help in the kitchen when necessary..
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain kitchen/service/customer areas in accordance with College procedures
- Carry out general kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and clearing away equipment
- Clean all kitchens and restaurant surfaces, including floors, equipment, food and other storage areas
- Assist with the maintenance of records as required
- Empty and clean internal bins and remove rubbish to the designated collection point
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have at least a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene or Food Preparation
- At least two years relevant employment experience working in a catering environment e.g. Café, Coffee Shop or Kitchen, with duties including cleaning, cooking or till operation
Desirable Skills
- Employment experience of food preparation or cooking
- Have at least a Level 2 qualification in Barista Skills OR at least one year relevant employment experience working as a Barista
