Job description

The successful staff member must be level 5 qualified or equivalent, this may include currently studying. They must be able to drive. They will work alongside a small team of staff daily in our Out of Schools club and over 2-3 Full days weekly in our Holiday club. They will work closely with the group to collect children from 3 local schools (within 1 mile from our premises). Fuel payments will be supplied if necessary. They will help produce monthly planning in accordance with activities we provide for the children. They will communicate with staff members and children to ensure they provide a safe, fun and stimulating environment for the children in their care, all in relation to the minimum standards. .

Responsibilities

• To prepare and set up daily activities relating to planning.
• To collect and sign in children from their school.
• To continuously supervise and help create a fun, safe environment for all children throughout the day.
• To greet and brief parents on arrival each evening.
• To prepare and sign daily checks including risk assessments.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• We welcome all applicants studying Level 5 in childcare/playwork or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

• Core training such as Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid are desired but will be provided within the first 6 months of joining our team.

Further Information

Worktime: After school hours from the end of the school day until 6pm Monday-Friday. Work times include after school hours from 2pm, 12noon during early school closures and on negotiable days during school holiday periods. We are an equal opportunity business.
