J&K coaches continued growth offers an exciting opportunity for a coach driver. The successful candidate must have a full category D licence and CPC card. The successful candidate will deliver a professional transport service to the public to standards required by J&K Coached Ltd, ensuring excellent customer service is always delivered so passengers enjoy a safe, pleasant, and comfortable journey. Job Title: Coach Driver Working hours: Varies between 30-40 hours per week (including nights, weekends and holidays) Salary: £15 per hour Job Type: Full Time Key roles/ responsibilities This role will support a wide variety of coach driver duties but not limited to: To operate school, contract, and private hire work in accordance with company schedules Always provide excellent customer service to passengers. To communicate with passengers in a clear, concise, and polite manner. Operate inbound and outbound tours across UK, Ireland, and Europe To be presentable, uniform must be always worn when driving company vehicles (shirts, jackets and ties supplied by business) Always deliver safe driving and operate within legal requirements and driving regulations To be able to deal effectively with any journey or roadside incidents which may arise in a calmy manner Ensure the cleanliness of vehicles is maintained at a high standard and meets customer and company expectations. Carry out vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures and notify any maintenance requirements Always report any accidents and complete relevant reports Essential Criteria Must hold a valid category D licence, CPC, and driver’s card Experience of driving large coaches i.e., 41 seats and above (desirable) The candidate must have excellent verbal and communication skills Experience of UK tour driving (desirable) Candidate must be well presented Flexibility, to meet the demands of the job. Available for short notice callouts To be reliable and punctual Must have excellent time management skills Confident and safe driving abilities Available to work shifts and to fulfil weekend duties including late night shifts Good geographical knowledge of UK and Ireland BACKGROUND CHECKS Coach Driver falls under the definition of Regulated Activity in relation to children, defined in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (SVG) Act 2006 and the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007 (both as amended). Regulated Activity is work that a barred person must not do. Applicants for Coach Driver will be required to apply to Access NI for an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate which will inform us of any spent and unspent convictions on your record, and this information will be used to assess your suitability as a Coach Driver.
