Job description

To assist in providing quality care, education and play opportunities for children aged 0-11 years, providing equal opportunities for all children within your care..

Responsibilities

• To participate as a member of a team of adults working together to create an environment promoting children's learning and development
• To be a key person for a group of children, to observe and assess their learning, plan for their individual needs and be responsible for making contributions to records of children's development
• To foster children's growth, self-esteem and independence
• To contribute to the planning and preparation of activities.
• To assist in communicating effectively with parents/carers of children you care for.
• To share responsibility for children's personal care.
• To share cleaning duties
• To work according to Giggles & Wiggles policies and procedures.
• To have a commitment to personal professional development. To prepare for and receive supervision, using it as a tool for development. To attend in-service training as agreed with the Giggles & Wiggles Manager.
• To undertake such other duties as required by the Giggles & Wiggles Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• We require a person who is passionate about working with children

Desirable Skills

• QCF Level 2 Diploma in Childcare, Learning & Development
• Training in Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid and Food Safety.

Further Information

Interviews will take place during week commencing 20th February 2023. Applicants must be over the age of 18. this is due to "Childminding and Day Care for Children Under Age 12 Minimum Standards". You may be required to work over 30 hours per week. Work Time: Between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday
