Responsibilities

  • Deliver an effective ICT helpdesk and support service for all our users, developing response times and reporting on performance against those.
  • Install, support, maintain and repair and manage ICT hardware and software. To include thin clients, PCs, laptops, Tablets, printers, etc for all internal and remote clients.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the phone system.
  • Assist in set up of ICT equipment for presentations and meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of working policies and procedures to support operational requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in computing or relevant Technology qualification AND at least 3 years practical experience (recent, within the last 5 years) of working in an ICT helpdesk environment.
  • OR Exceptional candidates without the qualification, but with 5 years recent experience (within the last 7 years) in this environment are welcome to apply.
  • Microsoft certification: MCP/MCSA/MCSE
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security best practice and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams , Citrix Administration.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to travel to meet the requirements of the post without reliance on public transport including outside office hours and at weekends.
  • Have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm to meet the job requirements although there may be occasional need to work in the evenings and/or weekends.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security best practice and support internal and external audit requirements.
