Counter Sales Parts Advisor
Job description
The purpose of the role will be to help maximise sales by establishing excellent relationships with existing and new customers to assist in the achievements of the branch sales and profit targets. The successful applicant will work as part of a team dealing with a variety of sectors, predominantly automotive but also including engineering customers. The range of customer enquiries is very wide and contact is both at the counter and over the phone..
Responsibilities
- To maximise sales for the branch.
- Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales.
- To service customers promptly and efficiently, ensuring all parts are supplied and invoiced correctly.
- To work within a team and to communicate and liaise with other team members.
- To attend Supplier's Training and Presentation meetings and undertake training and personal development as and when instructed.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A record of great customer service.
- A good knowledge of vehicle parts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable outlook.
- Good computer skills to utilise our electronic parts catalogues and product lookup systems.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in an automotive sales environment or 2 years as a motor mechanic.
- Previous experience working with MAM Autopart and Autocat software.
Further Information
Worktime: Between 8.30pm and 5.30pm Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays 9am - 1pm. Competitive Salary On the job training - we want to see our staff succeed 30 days annual leave (inc Bank Holidays) after first year, (28 days in year one). Pension contribution. Targeted Team Bonus. Staff terms on product purchases.
