Home Manager
Job description
To be responsible, through management and staff leadership, for promoting and ensuring the highest standards of care, in compliance with statutory requirements, to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. To ensure the Home is run efficiently and effectively whilst safeguarding service users. .
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the residents.
- To be responsible for the regular assessment and monitoring of residents progress in conjunction with appropriate professional staff.
- To be responsible for the formulation and review of residents care plans and for providing feedback to residents, relatives and allied professionals. To be responsible for the maintenance of accurate, up-to-date records of residents care.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities of the post and standards for the service, including the need for management and delivery of person-centred services.
- Computer skills for word processing and e-mailing.
- A minimum of four years work experience in health and social care setting with older people. At least two years of this experience must be in a relevant operational management capacity in a health and social care setting.
