Silver Birch Lodge is looking a Laundry Assistant to help running of inhouse Laundry service. The successful candidate will help maintain tidiness and organisation of the Laundry, ensuring all residents' clothes, as well as housekeeping items, are appropriately laundered, ironed and returned to individual residents..

Responsibilities

• To wash, dry, iron, and return residents personal clothing and other textile items.
• Removing stains from items using appropriate procedures.
• To ensure a regular supply of Laundry detergent.
• To be responsible for the maintenance of Laundry equipment. Reporting any defects to the proprietor.
• To ensure the correct handling of laundry with particular regard to soiled or infectious linen.
• To conform at all times with in house procedures, Health and Safety, Fire and COSHH.
• To distribute clothes into residents rooms making sure everything is tidy.
• To keep the Laundry room and laundry cupboard in a clean and hygienic condition on a daily basis
• To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• To have knowledge of basic Laundry Procedure
• Able to Iron personal clothing and housekeeping items.
