Female Personal Assistant/Carer


Job description

Personal Assistant/Carer required to assist with various duties (see responsibilities below).

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care, including toileting, washing.
  • Assisting client to fulfil activities of daily living e.g. leisure, recreation, education.
  • Assist with medications as prescribed by employer and keep proper records of medication administered. Training will be provided.
  • Assist client to deal with financial matters. e.g. bank card, payment in shops.
  • Assist the client plan social activities and escort them to events.
  • Respect client confidentially and discretion at all times.
  • Respect client's independence but discourage unwanted behaviour.
  • Client is strictly on a one to one care plan and must not be left alone or with anyone other than the personal assistant / carer.
  • Client must not be taken to any other home or premises without the consent of the employer.
  • While in the company of the client the personal assistant / carer must not smoke / drink or take drugs.
  • Personal Assistant is required to keep time sheets and recorded / receipt of expenses.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Job offer subject to acceptable references and valid Access NI check.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Training will be given.
