Senior Payroll Officer


Job description

Leading manufacturer. Full time permanent. Hybrid working available after successful completion of probation period. Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week. 28 days annual leave allowance. Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Financial Controller you will primarily be responsible for preparing and processing weekly payroll.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Minimum two years experience of processing end-to-end payroll, in a computerised payroll environment Minimum GCSCE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths (grade C or above).
  • Good working knowledge of payroll matters (including tax codes, SSP, SMP, holiday calculations) and current legislation.
  • Experience working with Attendance and Timekeeping software.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE 50 Payroll or equivalent.
  • Excellent IT skills, in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills - proven ability to work to deadlines.

Further Information

Worktime: Monday to Friday.
