Consultant Radiologist
Job description
To provide high quality, effective and efficient Radiology services within the contract resources available to the Western Health and Social Care Trust. To share in the collective responsibility for the provision of services for patients within the Radiology Department. To provide leadership within the relevant speciality team. To contribute to excellence in clinical practice through research, audit, undergraduate and postgraduate training. .
Responsibilities
- The prime responsibility is for patient care, best diagnosis and team leadership. The successful applicant will also be involved in clinical governance, education and training.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Applicants must hold or be eligible for Full General Medical Council (London) and Licence to Practise Be on or be eligible to be on the GMC Specialist Register for Radiology via:- CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview date),
- CESR, or European Community Rights Applicants must have training, experience and expertise in diagnostic radiology covering a range of general radiological modalities examinations and procedures.
Desirable Skills
- Subspecialty interest in one or more of: Musculoskeletal Radiology Paediatric Radiology GI Radiology
