Job description

To lead and manage the provision of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) to children in Belfast HSC Trust. The person appointed will ensure the safe, effective and economic use of pharmaceuticals at patient level and that services are provided in accordance with the relevant legislation and current standards. To be the Accountable Pharmacist for Children’s Aseptic Chemotherapy Unit (CACU)..

Responsibilities

  • To manage the provision of SACT to paediatric oncology and haematology patients.
  • To ensure all staff working in the unit are suitably trained and accredited where appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • M.Pharm or equivalent.
  • Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or eligible for membership.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of delivering pharmacy services to children.
